Carpets are also a breeding ground for mold, especially if you have frequent spills or pet accidents on the carpets in your home. If they are installed wall to wall carpets, it's important to shampoo them regularly if you have pets or kids. If you have, spills make sure you clean them up right away and dry them out as best you can so that the mold doesn't have the chance to grow underneath the carpet.
